Joy at the Well

Welcome!

Redemption stories have always inspired me, especially those in the Bible. One of my favorite redemption stories and inspiration for this blog is the story of Jesus meeting a Samaritan Woman at Jacob’s Well at the beginning of his ministry (John Ch.4).  Due to the fact this woman was fetching water alone in the heat of the day, it is assumed she was an outcast and rejected by the village. When Jesus revealed who He was and His intentions of his ministry to her, she found the source of true joy. This interaction at the well not only transformed her, but she had an urgency to tell everyone she saw about her encounter.

If anyone would have told me a year ago, I would be starting a faith-based blog, I would not have believed them…but, here I am. God has nudged me in this direction and my goal is to be as authentic and transparent as possible so that others can see how God has helped and used another imperfect, broken, and flawed individual find joy in His good and perfect (and sometimes difficult) plan. I pray that through my story, God encourages, inspires, convicts, and challenges you to take the next steps on your spiritual journey and to grow in (or begin) your relationship with Jesus.

Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
John 4:13-14
